PART 1 presents the scientific aspects of this story. It tells the story of how photosynthesis has changed the chemistry, geology, and biology of the planet. It shows that we live within an integral planet - a place where nothing exists in isolation or in parts - where everything is integrated into a unified global system and 'society' of beings. It explains how photosynthesis works.
PART 2 presents some thoughts on the deeper significance of this amazing modern story of creation – especially in relation to the urgent need for global societies to address issues of climate change, energy use and adoption of new principles of sustainable self-organization in all human activities.
